The King is and always will be Arnold Palmer, don’t get me wrong.
However, occasionally a temporary crown is passed around to deserved beings and right now that crown is being worn by Sean Foley.
Foley has been punished by a significant amount of heat in the last 18 months for his takeover and dismantling of the best golf swing in history.
For most, changing the most successful swing in history is a crime punishable by death but, even as the pressure mounted for Tiger to jump ship on Foley, he never faltered and he never looked back.
Now we all know why.
2012 has been a great year for the Bio-Mechanics genius. Let’s take a look at the last 6 weeks.
February 26th, 2012 Hunter Mahan wins the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship at The Ritz Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain 2 and 1 over Rory MciLroy.
March 11th, 2012 Justin Rose wins another WGC Event The World Golf Championship Cadillac Championship at Doral.
March 25th, 2012 Tiger Woods wins the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club and Lodge by 5 shots.
April 1st, 2012 Hunter Mahan becomes the first 2 time winner of the 2012 PGA Tour Season with a win at The Shell Houston Open at Redstone Golf Club.
That’s 4 of the last 6 and 3 of the last 4.
Sean Foley is developing players into winners and 2012 is looking to be the year of Foley.
Last year Chubby Chandler was emerging as one of the most powerful figures in Professional Golf as 3 players from his stable held Major Championship Titles, not to mention the previous years Open Championship.
Lous Oosthuizen wins the 2010 Open Championship Charl Schwartzl wins the 2011 Masters Rory Mcilroy wins the 2011 US Open Long time Chubby guy, Darren Clarke takes the 2011 Open Pretty impressive. Keegan Bradley’s comeback win at the PGA in Atlanta broke the string.
Chubby’s glow appears to be wearing in 2012 as prominent players like Mcilroy and Els leave his management company most likely because of his notable separation from US Golf.
Chubby makes no secret about his commitment to promote international tours as opposed to the PGA Tour.
This is one of the many reasons US Golf fans have Sean Foley to thank.[pullquote align=”right”]“That 3-iron (Tiger) hit on six (at Bay Hill) was pretty damn sexy” Sean Foley[/pullquote]
Foley is “Bringin’ Sexy Back” to US Golf which makes Sean one of the most powerful figures in golf right now.
Yes it was, Sean.

Pretty impressive statistics and results, considering the amount of disrespect Sean has received over the last couple years.
Foley’s principles revolve around complex ideas like, ball compression, angles, weight distribution, bio-mechanics, kinetics and leverage.
With the Masters coming up this week, Sean Foley is emerging as one of the most influential figures in golf, my prediction is Tiger wins at Augusta this year, I know it’s not much of a bold prediction, Tiger is no dark horse I know.
Could this week be part 1 of the 2012 Foley Slam?
The first part of 2012 has clearly gone to Foley and his primary pupils. Tiger will be Tiger, You or I could probably be Tiger’s swing coach and look like some sort of golf genius. Somehow Tiger made Hank Haney look like he knows what he’s doing.
The evolution of Mahan and Rose is where the real story is.
This Masters is looking like it’s going to be a great week, particularly for Sean Foley.
